New Worlds is a four-part 2014 British television drama serial created by Peter Flannery and Martine Brant, a follow-up to their 2008 series The Devil's Whore, produced by Company Pictures for Channel 4. During the turbulent Restoration period of the 1600s, young, idealistic renegade Abe Goffe is determined to fight for England to become a true republic. A romantic at heart, he falls for privileged Beth—daughter of Countess of Abingdon Angelica Fanshawe—and brings her into his quest for a new future, transforming her from the innocent young woman she starts out as.

Meanwhile, Judge Jeffreys puts pressure on Will Blood to produce evidence against Angelica and her husband John Francis.

Back in England, Abe Goffe's fight for justice takes a new turn when he encounters maidservant Agnes, who provokes him to search out Colonel Algernon Sidney, one of his father's old republican comrades. With him he plots to assassinate the king, but will they succeed?

2014-04-2248mWhen news of Charles II's death reaches Boston, Beth decides it's time to return to England. As she makes her way to Oxford, she is reunited with Abe, who has escaped from his jail cell and dedicated his life to spreading Colonel Sidney's revolutionary ideas. Meanwhile, Ned and Hope lead a group of young Bostonians fighting for an independent America.
